Third Bridge First!
The Third Bridge Now alternative is a new freeway within the I-5 Corridor that attaches
to the I-5 freeway in Vancouver, WA, creating a bypass to the over-capacity I-5 freeway.
It connects ports and industrial areas on one continuous corridor between I-5, HWY-30,
and Swan Island in Oregon. The new alignment will remove Designated Freight and
Hazardous Material routes from several residential neighborhoods in Oregon and Washington.
It will complete safe connections by adding multi-modal capacity, vehicle, train,
transit, bike, and pedestrian access from downtown Vancouver, Portland, and residential
neighborhoods to our ports and industrial lands.
